Watch an AI agent meet its controls
Two AI assistants at a fictional parts distributor, Halvorne Supply: a support agent that works customer tickets, and a partner assistant that answers its resellers. Their steps were recorded; the controls around them are what this lab is about. No model runs when you visit: you watch what happened, you make the decisions a person would make, and you see what each conversation cost.

A customer asks for a refund
The agent reads the ticket and the order, then proposes a refund. Anything above $200 is held for a person: you decide, and the recorded run continues from your decision.Watch the recorded run → - Data boundaries
A ticket reaches for another customer’s data
A customer asks about a “sister company’s” order, and an order note carries a planted instruction. Two models, the same controls: watch what each one reaches for, and what the controls do.Watch the recorded run →

Another partner’s account
A reseller asks about an account another partner registered. The lookup can reach only the asker’s own accounts: watch what comes back, and what the assistant says.Watch the recorded run → - Approval
A commission exception
A partner asks for a commission above the programme’s limit on its own registered deal. Above the limit a channel manager decides: you, and the recorded run continues from your decision.Watch the recorded run →
How these runs were recorded
- 330 runs recorded from 28 September 2026, through OpenRouter with zero data retention. Every one is published, including any that failed.
- Each page replays run 01, the first recorded, whatever it shows. The counts at the end cover all of them.
- The company, its customers, its partners and their records are invented. No real person or business is in the data.
- Every step is chained by SHA-256 from the run’s header, and each track’s manifest is signed, so a changed or reordered run no longer checks out: each scenario’s technical section checks it in your browser.
- Costs are OpenRouter’s billed cost for each call, and response times its own record of each call: measured, never estimated.
